Private Events
The Zoo is the wildest event destination for anniversary celebrations, milestone birthday parties or class reunions. The generous amenities of our facilities are suitable for any size event, and the iconic backdrop of animal habitats is sure to rekindle fond memories while creating new ones.

From business meetings and team-building experiences, to company picnics and holiday parties, every corporate event is a little more fun when held at the Saint Louis Zoo.

Capacity: Up to 280 guests for seated dinner, spanning the upper and lower rotunda; 500 guests for a cocktail reception
Availability: Seven days a week, 6:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Features: 9,000 square feet of event space within a two-level 65-foot rotunda, natural light from glass-domed ceiling, 346 seats in the Anheuser-Busch Theater and an outdoor patio leading out onto Zoo grounds.
Capacity: Up to 280 guests for seated dinner; 450 guests for a cocktail reception
Features: Waterfront pavilion with covered patio, indoor and outdoor space, optimum moonlight reception space.
Capacity: Up to 168 guests for seated dinner; 180 guests for a cocktail reception
Features: The event space can be separated into three rooms, which can be booked separately. A private terrace runs the length of the building, and a dramatic window into the Missouri River Aquarium at one end affords a spectacular view of paddlefish, gar and many other aquatic creatures.
Capacity: Up to 290 guests for seated dinner; 400 guests for a cocktail reception
Availability: Seven days a week, day or evening, May through October
Features: Open-air tent, outdoor reception setting, generous amount of space to mingle and dance.

Features: For an intimate ceremony, Marlin Perkins Plaza overlooks the meadow on Historic Hill, the oldest part of the Zoo.

Features: The Meadow on Historic Hill is a lush, grassy area. It's a beautiful backdrop to Marlin Perkins Plaza and is located in the oldest part of the Zoo.

Features: Host your event in an intimate setting where a statue of one of the Zoo's most beloved animals, Phil, resides.

Features: This outdoor setting with the grandiose Hermann Fountain fit with life-size sea lion statues, is the perfect backdrop for an event at the Zoo.

Features: Stingray Deck is a private, outdoor space overlooking one of the Zoo's many lakes.

The Saint Louis Zoo has its own in-house catering team and executive chef. We offer a diverse array of menu options, as well as theme development including décor, entertainment and special touches that make your event truly outstanding. From boxed lunches to caviar to wedding plates, our staff of culinary experts will be available to assist you in the coordination of every palate-pleasing detail.
